What are you thankful for? That is a hard question. A lot of times we take for granted so many things that we don’t stop to really appreciate not only the big things like our spouses, children, mothers, fathers, jobs, friends, and opportunities, but the little things. When is the last time you were thankful that you woke up today, that you can breathe today, or that you had enough food to make sure you would feel no hunger pains today? Before I tell everyone what I’m personally thankful for, I want everyone to just take a moment and thank God for the air that you breathe, and the necessities of life that we all too often take for granted.
Ok, feeling thankful yet? Good. Now let me give you a glimpse of what I am truly thankful for.
God – first and foremost I believe we all must give glory to our Heavenly Father for not only creating us, but for providing for us, and saving us through the blood of Christ. Thank you Lord for my salvation.
My Wife – This lovely woman has supported me and been by my side since we met. And I cannot thank her enough for the way she handles mostly all of our finances and keeps me in line. She is a wonderful mother to my 2 boys and I am grateful to have her in my life as a partner and friend. I love you Brittany.
My Friends – You know who you are. Thank you for making me laugh, keeping me accountable, and telling me when I’ve screwed up. Thank all of you!
My Father – I’d like to thank my dad for the many lessons he’s taught me over the course of my life. But mostly for being a great example and having outstanding morals. Thanks for being such a great Grandpa too! Love you Dad
My Mother – They say there is no stronger love than the love a mother has for her children and I totally believe that is true with my mom. I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like. But she knows me almost better than I know myself. Love and Miss you Mom.
My Job – There are many things included when I say I am thankful for my job. I’ve been given the opportunity to live my passion. Not a lot of people get to wake up every morning and go to work loving what they do. But more specifically the people I work with are outstanding. Danny, Dakota, Mikayla, and now Kari… thank you for not only being coworkers but also friends.
Food & Lifting Weights – At the end of the day if there was no Simply Fitness, if there was no personal training, and I worked in a shoe factory 12 hours a day, I’d still get up in the morning and lift weights. That’s what I do. And as for food… well who isn’t thankful for great food?
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! God Bless.
